Kornerstone Bistro is an upscale casual Italian Mediterranean Bistro. We specialize in producing fresh, healthy dishes based on the Mediterranean philosophy of highlighting the flavors of the freshest ingredients. We strive to be the "local place for worldly taste." Our food is healthy by nature with a foundation of olive oil, tomato, lemon, whole grains, and coastal North Carolina's bounty. It is a combination of freshly prepared Mediterranean comfort food and rustic Italian classics.
Since opening in 2007, Kornerstone Bistro has been awarded many accolades for winning statewide competitions using local ingredients. Kornerstone was inspired by the cuisine and culture of the French, Spanish and Italian Riviera.
Robert Pickens brings his seasons of experience provisioning in the Riviera as a megayacht chef as the base for its cuisine.

Kornerstone was envisioned to be a “cornerstone” of the community. A place where you can enjoy a well prepared meal in a casual atmosphere, gather with friends at our bar with a craft cocktail or bring a significant other for a special occasion.
